Higher?

Play →

Higher? asks you ten questions a day, each comparing two surprising numbers. Pick the higher one to go up a floor. Feeling sure? Bet on it to go up faster.

How it works

Each floor asks a question like which country has more islands, or which animal lives longer. Tap the one you think is higher.

Get it right and the elevator goes up one floor. Get it wrong and you stay put. The questions get closer as you go up.

Express ride

Before you answer, you can pull the Express ride lever. If you're right, you go up two floors instead of one. If you're wrong, you go down one.

The top floor is 20, and the only way to get there is to use the Express ride on every question and get them all right.

About the numbers

All the figures are rounded and use recent, widely cited numbers. Some of them are surprising on purpose.

Example

Which country has more islands, Indonesia or Sweden? Most people guess Indonesia, but Sweden has way more because of all the tiny islands along its coast.

If you'd heard that before, it's a good time to use the Express ride. If you're just guessing, play it safe and take the single floor.

Tips

  1. 1Only use the Express ride when you're actually sure.
  2. 2Watch out for trick questions. The obvious answer isn't always right.
  3. 3A wrong answer without the Express ride costs you nothing, so it's fine to guess.
  4. 4The later questions are closer, so be more careful with your bets there.
