RGB shows you a colour and gives you three sliders. Mix the closest match you can, but you don't get to see your own colour while you work.
How it works
There are five colours a day. For each one, move the Red, Green and Blue sliders (0 to 255), or type the numbers in. Your mix stays hidden the whole time.
Each colour gives you one Peek, which shows your current mix for three seconds. When you're happy, lock it in and you'll see your colour next to the target.
Every colour is scored out of 100, so 500 is a perfect day. The score is based on how different the two colours look to your eye, not just how far apart the numbers are.
The five colours
The day always goes in the same order: a bright saturated colour, a pastel, a dark one, a muted one, and a tricky one to finish.
More to play
After the daily, you can play a practice palette as many times as you like, or go back and play past days. There's also a daily leaderboard for you and your friends.
Example
The target is a warm orange. Orange is lots of red, some green and almost no blue, so start with red near 255, green around 140 and blue near 0.
Use your peek. If it looks too yellow, bring the green down. If it looks too dull, take the blue lower. Small changes matter more than you'd think, so adjust a little at a time.
Tips
- 1Think about the target in terms of red, green and blue before you touch anything.
- 2Save your peek until you're close. It's more useful for fine tuning than for starting out.
- 3Pastels have all three sliders high. Dark colours have all three low.
- 4Your screen's brightness affects how colours look, so don't stress about tiny differences.
