Priceless is a pricing game set in an antique shop. Guess what old gadgets, toys and other things cost when they first came out.
How it works
There are five rounds a day, and each one is worth 100 points. There are three kinds of round.
- Which cost more: two items. Tap the one that cost more at launch.
- Price order: four items. Tap them from cheapest to most expensive. You get points for every pair you put in the right order.
- Estimate: one item. Turn the dial to guess its price. Exactly right is 100, off by double or half is 50, and four times off is 0.
About the prices
Every price is the original US launch price. They're not adjusted for inflation, so things from a long time ago will seem cheap.
Example
You're asked to estimate the price of an early home video game console. Think about when it came out. Prices back then were much lower, but new tech was still expensive.
If your gut says around $200, go with that. Even if you're off by a bit, being in the right range still gets you points.
Tips
- 1Think about when the item came out, not what it would cost today.
- 2For price order, get the cheapest and most expensive right first.
- 3On estimates, being close still scores, so don't overthink it.
- 4New technology was usually expensive at launch, even decades ago.
