Everyone gets the same target between 5 and 25 seconds each day. Start the clock, then stop when you think the target has elapsed, with no elapsed-time feedback while it runs.
How it works
Read the target and press Start the clock. Count in your head, then press Stop the clock. Space and Enter also activate the button. Your elapsed time and score appear only after you stop.
Review your result, then choose Try again to restart or Finalize result to lock in your daily score. Only finalizing marks the game complete and records your stats.
The target changes at midnight Eastern time. Your finalized daily result is saved; past targets can be replayed from the archive without changing your stats.
Scoring
Start with 100 points and lose 20 points for every second of absolute error, down to zero. Scores use two decimal places. Being one second early costs exactly as much as being one second late.
A 14-second target
Stop at 14 seconds for 100 points. Stop at 13 or 15 seconds for 80 points. Stop at 13.5 or 14.5 seconds for 90 points.
Tips
- 1Count from the moment you press Start.
- 2Keep a steady rhythm, even on longer targets.
- 3Use your result to see whether your internal clock tends to run early or late.
