Slopey is a skiing and snowboarding game. There's a new downhill course every day for the leaderboard, plus an open mountain you can ride on your own or with whoever else is online.
How it works
Pick skis or a snowboard, then choose what to do. The daily downhill is a new course every day. Practice on it as much as you want. When you're ready, do your one official run, and that time goes on the leaderboard. You need to be logged in for it.
The course has red and blue gates, and you have to go through every one. If you miss one, press R to respawn at your last checkpoint.
Slopey runs on its own site, so it opens in a new tab.
Other ways to play
- Open mountain: ride the whole resort with trails, a terrain park and a lift. Go solo, or pick Ride with others to share the mountain with everyone who's online.
- Race your crew: make a private room, share the code, and race your friends.
- Past courses: ride or watch any previous daily course. Your best time is saved.
- Watch today's runs: see the best runs on today's course all at once.
Controls
A and D to carve, W to push, Ctrl to brake. Hold Shift to tuck for speed, or hold it while turning for a hard carve. Space to jump, arrow keys to flip and roll, J and L to spin, G and H to grab. R respawns, and V switches to first person. Controllers and touch screens work too.
A good run
Tuck off the start to build speed. Start turning before you reach each gate, so you're already heading for the next one when you pass it.
If two gates are close together, slow down a little early with a sharper carve instead of braking hard at the gate. It feels slower, but you'll make both gates and keep more speed overall.
Tips
- 1Look two gates ahead, not one.
- 2Tuck whenever you're going straight.
- 3Carve instead of braking. It keeps your speed up.
- 4If you miss a gate, respawn right away instead of trying to save it.
